Like love, my art grows in time, layer by layer, often over days, weeks, months, occasionally years. I must patiently wait until the ink dries, one layer at a time. The process creates vital pauses, reflections, recalibration. Sometimes I wander entirely into another project. Sometimes I ricochet between pieces while I wait.

I'm making friends with these pieces. They will be my loved ones. By the time we are done, we are intimate. Who are these magical characters looking back at me? Who are they asking me to be? What will they ask of you? I love bringing them to life, even as they bring me life. I stare into them, them into me, and I imagine gifting them voices, truth or even immortality.

Below is a collection, some available, some sold, and are generally 14”x11” - 24"x19."

Commissions are welcome, and current works can be seen at The Walters Cultural Arts Center.
